Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence Research at SCU
The mission of the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence Research (short as CAAIR) at Soo Chow University (SCU) is to promote the development of artificial intelligence (AI) research, encourage AI professional trainings, foster the front-end research on AI applications, and collaborate with the world's top AI research institutes.
The specific objectives of CAAIR@SCU include:
1. Enhance the international visibility on applied AI researches.
2. Integrate interdisciplinary study on AI applications, participate in the
government projects, and promote the industry-university cooperation and
technology transfer in related fields.
3. Cultivate research talents in the fields of AI, robotics, engineering,
biomedical, cognitive psychology, etc., and establish a pipeline for students to
go to the industry for internships.
4. Encourage entrepreneurship among faculty members and students.
5. Organize AI seminars and forums.
6. Carry out government-civilian education cooperation and talent training
programs.
7. Promote scholars' mutual visits and encourage academic exchanges.
